If you want a conversation

Happily, on the record, with the usual understanding: background or off the record is agreed before the conversation and not afterwards.

One caveat worth stating. On anything touching the company’s commercial position, I am not a neutral source and I will say so in the interview. If you want the company’s official answer, the press office gives it; what you get here is what one person thinks, which is sometimes more useful and sometimes less.

Corrections

If I have got something wrong, write and tell me. Corrections are made on the post with a dated note saying what changed. I do not quietly edit published posts.
